I am currently working on the AMB82-Mini board and I wish to use the JX-F57 camera sensor instead. Seeing the list of supported camera sensors, I noticed that you have worked with a number of similar camera sensors but not yet with the JX-F57. Please help to guide me on what steps I need to take to be able to use my own camera sensor.

F57 is FHD sensor which could be supported by AmebaPro2 (Pro2 could support up to 5M (2592*1944) ISP processing)
We do have experience to bring up SOI sensor on Pro2 EVB (not on AMB82), and already have some adopt board to connect between SOI sensor with Pro2 EVB.
So next step would be how to connect SOI sensor board to AMB82, and i will prepare some information to you.
We will share some HW schematic document to you, and we do have some adaptor board inhouse.
After some discussion internally, we will specially provide some adaptor board to you for trial run on bring up new sensor on AMB82.

F53 is the previous sensor which RTK bring up and it’s interface is similiar as F57
- SOI sensor interface to dothinkey interface
you could check with sensor vendor for this request
- dothinkey interface to AmebaPro2 sensor interface
- AmebaPro2 sensor interface to AMB82 sensor interface
you could also check AmebaPro2 Datasheet Download – Realtek IoT/Wi-Fi MCU Solutions
for item 3) and item 4) shematic

when you get all of above adaptor board, you could use them for sensor board connection to AMB82

Thank you for your assistance so far on helping me to port my own camera sensor module onto the AMB82-Mini. I have received the items and tried playing with it according to some of the documentations that you have made available. This is how I have connected the wires, which seems to be correct and I have soldered the IR wires instead of using hot glue here.
In the tests that I have done, it seems to verify that the connections have been made correctly and that the additional GPIO init required is working as intended. Please help me to review if the results are as expected when using the adapter board.

in general case, we will suggest that when you have successfully connect sensor module to AMB82.
we will check following item consecutively.

we will check sensor power first. as you see in sensor board, we need to check whether AVDD / DVDD / DOVDD meet spec or not.

after check sensor power is right, you could use same sensor vendor driver to see whether we could successfully communicate with sensor through i2c. sensor from same vendor generally user same power on sequence.
-
you could down sensor driver environment from website.
and build your own driver to replace dirver in SDK.
you could check sensor timestamp to see does it is apply or not

I have tried creating my own driver based on the guide but I am still unable to run a simple stream with my camera. This time I have ensured that the sensor id is correct and the power up sequence seems correct so far. The whole system boots up as per normal like with the F37 camera without any error message.
I am currently working on the debugging steps and I have no clue on what parameters I am missing anymore. The command ATII=version is returning the right information but following the commands in the debug section of the guide, “ATII=fps,show” has no response and “ATII=info,mipi” returns a bunch of zeros. Have you encountered such issues before and what can I do to fix it?

Hi @Sam_Samedi
after apply sensor configuration, sensor should output mipi signal to ISP, and ISP RX should receive some data instead 0. you need to use Oscilloscope to measure mipi signal on sensor board.
please check red arrow for mipi clock & yellow arrow for mipi data.

I have made some changes and now the signals that I am getting from those 2 pins are similar to the screenshots that you have provided. However, the board is still not able to run an example stream. What should I do now?
