Hi, Pammy,
I use rtl8735b usb host to connect SIM7600G-H via CDC ECM.
My SIM700G-H test on Linux vid CDC ECM is ok, so I use same method to rtl8735b
and I got following message:
#UECM
[ECM] USB host ECM demo started…
Enter USB Ethernet host mode
[MEM] After do cmd, available heap 110186176
usb otg mode 1
USB_Init
ecm init fail
The bulk_task already deinit
The intr_task already deinit
USB_DeInit
ecm deinit ok
ecm_status 2
How can I connect to the SIM7600G-H using USB CDC ECM mode?

Hi @termy ,
Thank you for waiting while we reviewed the requested feature.
The current USB ECM example is intended only for USB-to-Ethernet adapter use cases, and is not compatible with 4G dongle usage.
Support for 4G dongles is still under development and will require some time to complete.
We will provide an update once this feature becomes available in the SDK.
Thank you.

Hi,
We’ll be introducing an LTE dongle solution soon, with support for the 4G LTE dongle (EG915U-EU). The code is currently being prepared for release.
Do let us know if this solution would be suitable for your application, or if you have any additional requirements.

Hi Panny,
Thank you for the update.
The EG915U-EU solution fits our needs well, especially for transmitting sensor telemetry and brief data messages, so this will be very helpful for our application.
In addition to the EG915U-EU, we also have requirements for modules like the EC25 and EC21. Do you have plans to support these modules in the dongle solution as well?
Looking forward to the upcoming code release.
Best regards,
Termy
