# VOE memory allocation

video\_voe\_presetting() allocates 21,010,944 bytes, which our board reports at 0x70BB0D00 — within the DDR region. With channel 0 (1080p30 H.264) and channel 4 (320×180 RGB) running, the VOE reports 20,518 KB total, 18,717 used, 1,801 free, while approximately 100 MB of DDR remains unused.

**QUESTIONS**

- Is this allocation derived from the channel configuration, a fixed constant, or bounded by the address range the VOE can access?

- Can it be increased, and if so what is the maximum supported size?

- Our specification requires a 640×360 sub-stream alongside the 1080p main stream and NN inference. What headroom do you recommend for that combination?
