# BW16 How to wifi ap at 5ghz frequency?

i try to change channel of ap mode over 13 channels in serial monitor rtl says it failed : ioctl[RTKIOCSIWFREQ]

i want to know can i use 5ghz frequency at ap mode

I have the same issue. The example I am using is from here. [WiFi – Set up WiFi AP Mode – Realtek IoT/Wi-Fi MCU Solutions](https://www.amebaiot.com/en/amebad-arduino-ap-mode/)  
How do I set the channel to get AP mode working at 5G?

Please configure Wi-Fi channel to 36 in example [WiFi – Set up WiFi AP Mode – Realtek IoT/Wi-Fi MCU Solutions](https://www.amebaiot.com/en/amebad-arduino-ap-mode/) to establish AP at 5GHz.
