Hi All,
I am the new for Ameba. Currently, I using the Raspberry Pi to build the official SDK to know the Ameba-D through “Ameba RTL8722DM (AMB 21)”. Dose any guide for the environment setting. I have follow the “AN0400\_Ameba-D\_Application\_Note\_v13”, but seems the GCC have some problem on Raspberry Pi.

Thanks a lot.

Hi sineage,

the toolchain in the GCC SDK is intended for operation on PCs running a x86 processor, and will not work with the ARM processor on the raspberry pi

To do this, you might want to take a look of this link and use this toolchain instead,

> **[Arm GNU Toolchain](https://developer.arm.com/Tools%20and%20Software/GNU%20Toolchain)**
>
> Use new features from recent Arm Architecture and from open-source projects GCC, Binutils, glibc, Newlib, and GDB.

Would there be much difference compared to the asdk toolchain, or am I missing something?

Normally, our toolchain is only for ameba series ICs.

Of course, I also expect so. However, what I’m asking is whether there are any optimizations or platform-dependent stuff included in the asdk toolchain that might result in better image size or performance.
